General FAQ

When is the Festival?

The Festival has historically been held in early May, typically in the week leading in to BrickMagic.  This is likely to change to a June date.  More information will be posted as the date is ironed out.

Where is the Festival?

The Festival is hosted at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham North Carolina.

Do I need to buy a ticket to attend the Festival?

Yes.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the Carolina Theatre box office a month before the Festival.  While tickets are available at the door for purchase, it is highly recommended that tickets be purchased in advance in case of a sold out show.  Keep in mind that there is a credit card fee for any purchases made with a credit card.

Can I buy tickets online?

Due to charges associated with online ticket sales, BrickFlix does not currently sell tickets online.  The Carolina Theatre box office will accept credit card orders via the phone, with the tickets being made available via will call.  Contact the Carolina Theatre for more information, no earlier than one month prior to the festival.

I won't be able to make the festival, can I see a program of what will be playing?

We post the program on this website shortly after the festival ends in the Archive.

Will there be artists in attendence?

While it is never a guarantee that artists and animators will be in attendence, we do our best to bring them in when we can.  We do provide an opportunity for a post-screening Q&A, so if you're screening a short at the festival and are planning on being in the area, let us know!

Is there BrickFlix merchandise?

There is currently no BrickFlix merchandise for sale, however all who submit films are given a collectible BrickFlix 2x2 printed tile.
